You can click <strong>Admin Portal Login<\/strong> in the email to login to the JumpCloud Admin Portal and review the request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To manage requests queue:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Login to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/login\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">JumpCloud admin portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Security Management<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Access Requests<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use the Requests Queue page to view details of the requests and grant or deny access as required.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Administrator<\/strong>: All requests that require the admin\u2019s approval are listed here. You can expand each request to view the<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Others<\/strong>: All requests that require action from assigned approvers are listed here.<br><br><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"1610\" class=\"wp-image-143339\" style=\"width: 800px\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-scaled.png\" alt=\"This image displays the request queue.\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-scaled.png 2560w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-300x189.png 300w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-1024x644.png 1024w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-768x483.png 768w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-1536x966.png 1536w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/Request-Queue-2048x1288.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-request-status\"><strong>Request Status<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Each access request on the Requests page is assigned one of the following statuses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Approved:<\/strong> The request has been granted, and the user has been provisioned access to the requested resource.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Canceled:<\/strong> The request was canceled due to the deletion of the associated approval flow.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Denied:<\/strong> The request was rejected by an admin, and the user will not be granted access to the requested resource.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Error:<\/strong> An error occurred during the processing of the request. The admin may attempt to retry approving or denying the request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Expired:<\/strong> The request expired due to inactivity. If no action is taken on a request within 30 days, it will automatically expire.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Missing Data<\/strong>: Some required information (such as the requester&#8217;s Manager details) is absent. The admin may approve or deny the request or update the missing data. Jump to <a href=\"#identifying-missing-data\">Identifying Missing Data<\/a> to learn more.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Pending:<\/strong> The request is currently awaiting review and approval (or denial) by an admin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-search-and-filter\"><strong>Search and Filter<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Switch between the Administrator and Others tabs to view all requests submitted by users. Use the search bar to look for a specific request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The data in each dashboard is filtered by <strong>Manual Approval <\/strong>type<strong> <\/strong>and<strong> Pending <\/strong>status<strong> <\/strong>by default. The applied filters are displayed below the search bar. Click the<strong> x <\/strong>next to each filter to remove it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Important:<\/strong> \n<p>If an approval request needs to be approved by someone who isn&#8217;t an admin, you&#8217;ll find it in the <strong>Others<\/strong> tab on the Requests Queue page.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To modify the filter:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the <strong>Search<\/strong> bar, click the <strong>Filter<\/strong> dropdown.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can filter data by Date, Requester name, Approval Type and Status. Select your preferred filter and click<strong> Apply<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The dashboard is updated accordingly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can use the <strong>Clear All<\/strong> option to remove all filters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-viewing-access-request-details\"><strong>Viewing Access Request Details<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You can click the expand arrow next to a request to view its details such as Request Details, Requester and Requester\u2019s Manager details, Approver, Reason for Request, and status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can view the <strong>Approval Progress<\/strong> to monitor the actions of assigned approvers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can grant or deny the request directly from here.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-exporting-requests-data-nbsp\"><strong>Exporting Requests Data&nbsp;<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can export the data as displayed in the dashboard based on currently applied filters using the <strong>Export<\/strong> button. To export data click <strong>Export <\/strong>and then select <strong>JSON<\/strong> or <strong>CSV<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"identify-missing-data\">Identifying Missing Data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When an approval flow is missing critical information\u2014like the requester&#8217;s Manager\u2014the system will automatically assign the request a <strong>Missing Data<\/strong> status and display a banner on the <strong>Requests Queue<\/strong> page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To quickly find and update these requests:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click <strong>View<\/strong> on the banner to see the specific requests with missing data or&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to the Requests Queue and expand each request in the Others tab to view details.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"2560\" height=\"750\" src=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-scaled.png\" alt=\"This image displays the access request approval flow\" class=\"wp-image-143341\" style=\"width:800px\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-scaled.png 2560w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-300x88.png 300w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-1024x300.png 1024w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-768x225.png 768w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-1536x450.png 1536w, https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/AR_Approval-Flow-2048x600.png 2048w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 2560px) 100vw, 2560px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>All requests with assigned approvers are displayed in the<strong> Others<\/strong> tab.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The default filters <strong>(Manual, Pending)<\/strong> may hide your missing data requests. You can either clear the existing filters or filter by Missing Data status to view the requests. Jump to <a href=\"#h-search-and-filter\">Search and Filter<\/a> to learn more about filters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Requests with Missing Data status require admin action.<\/strong> You can either:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Update the missing data:<\/strong> Under Approval Progress, click <strong>Add in Users.&nbsp;<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This will take you to the Users page.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>Details<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Employment Information<\/strong> and select the Manager from the dropdown. See <a href=\"https:\/\/jumpcloud.com\/support\/add-users-to-admin-portal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Add Users to the Admin Portal<\/a> to learn more.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Approve or Deny the request.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Approving Requests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To approve an access request:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the <strong>Administrator <\/strong>tab of the <strong>Requests Queue<\/strong> page, you can either:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the expand arrow next to a request and click <strong>Grant Access<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the three dots next to each request and select <strong>Grant Access <\/strong>from the dropdown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the next screen, click <strong>Grant Access<\/strong> to approve the request, or click <strong>Cancel<\/strong> if you wish to cancel.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The request status changes to <strong>Approved<\/strong> and the counter next to the dashboard name is updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Once the access request is granted, the user will be notified by email. The resource will be added to the <strong>Applications<\/strong> section of the User Portal.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Denying Requests<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To deny an access request:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the <strong>Administrator<\/strong> tab of the <strong>Requests Queue<\/strong> page, you can either:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the expand arrow next to a request and click <strong>Deny Access<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the three dots next to each request and select <strong>Deny Access <\/strong>from the dropdown.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the next screen, provide a reason for denying the request. You can also add next steps if required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Deny Access<\/strong> to deny the request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>The request Status changes to <strong>Denied <\/strong>and the counter next to the dashboard name is updated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>Once the access request is denied, the user will be notified by email.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card important\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/important-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Important:<\/strong> \n<p>If you are an admin assigned as an approver (as a resource owner, requester\u2019s manager, or part of a user group), approve or deny the request in the User Portal to maintain the approval flow progress. Actions taken in the Admin Portal will override the defined approval flow.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Overriding Assigned Approver Action<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Admins can also override an assigned approver&#8217;s action on a request.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To override an approver\u2019s action:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>On the <strong>Resources Queue<\/strong> page, go to the<strong> Others<\/strong> tab to view all the requests that have assigned approvers.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can:\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click the expand arrow next to a request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click the three dots next to each request.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Grant Access <\/strong>to approve or <strong>Deny Access<\/strong> to reject the request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you\u2019re denying the request, on the next screen, provide a reason.
