You will see the Access Requests <\/strong>console displaying two tabs:\n- \n
- Requests Queue<\/strong> – A central hub for managing all user access requests that require approval.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Active Sessions – <\/strong>Provides real-time visibility into users and devices with elevated access. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Approval Flows <\/strong>– Lets you create and manage approval flows that users can use to submit access requests.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

Configuring Access Requests Settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
Before you proceed to create approval flows, it is important to configure the Access Requests settings for your organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

- Click Settings<\/strong> at the top right of the Access Requests<\/strong> console.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Use the Resource Requests<\/strong> toggle to enable the feature, allowing end users to request access to resources from their user portal. If disabled, users will not see the Requests<\/strong> option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Specify the Notifications<\/strong> settings as required:\n

- Receive Resource Request Notifications via<\/strong>\n
- \n
- Email<\/strong> – When selected, <\/strong>this sends resource request updates via email to the requester, admin, and other assigned approvers (if any).<\/li>\n\n\n\n

- Send end user notification emails for the following events\n

- Request Received Confirmation<\/strong> \u2013 Sends an email when a request is submitted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Request Approval\/Denial<\/strong> – Sends an email when a request is approved or denied.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Expose Approval Progress Indicator<\/strong> – <\/strong>This option allows you to display the Approval Progress for users in the user portal.\n

- Select the Expose the Approval Progress to end users<\/strong> checkbox.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Configure Webhook Notifications – <\/strong>This option allows you to select existing webhook channels within the platform to receive event notifications related to Access Requests.\n

- Click Select Channel.<\/strong>\n

- In the Select Channel<\/strong> window, click the Webhook Channels <\/strong>search bar to view the available webhook channels.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Select the webhook channels that you want to use to receive notifications. You can also search and select the channels by name. The selected channels appear as chips below the search bar. Click the x <\/strong>(delete) icon to remove chips if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
- Click Add<\/strong>. The selected channels are displayed under Webhook Channels<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

Viewing Directory Insights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Directory Insights data is useful for auditing & compliance or for troubleshooting issues. You can use the Directory Insights data to know more details about the events created for access requests. Go to Insights<\/strong> > Directory<\/strong> and expand each event to view the details. You can switch to the JSON view for more details.
